BEGO OSS
The classic choice
BEGO OSS is a bovine bone substitute material with which the natural properties of the bone tissue are retained. Targeted modifications of the initial bone result in a bone substitute material which achieves rapid integration in patients’ own newly formed vital bone.
All organic components are removed by means of sintering to leave only the mineral phase of the bone. BEGO OSS meets the most stringent safety standards for xenogeneic bone substitute material. BEGO OSS features an interconnecting pore system which combines a high degree of porosity with simultaneous mechanical stability. The BEGO OSS 3D pore system is a highly complex network in which the macroporous dimensions of natural bone are preserved in order to ensure the optimal recruitment of bone cells. Micropores generate strong capillary forces for the complete penetration of BEGO OSS with blood. The nanoporous hydrophilic surface is ideal for binding highly effective proteins to BEGO OSS. The BEGO OSS properties have been optimised to achieve a high level of de novo osteogenesis.
Indications
All common GBR techniques in combination with a barrier membrane
Properties
Advantages for you
Handling: Can be mixed with blood, sterile saline solution and autogenous bone grafts, when wet a structured mass is produced for absorbing and contouring
Patient acceptance: Volume preservation prevents treatment delays, high-temperature treatment eliminates organic components and thus the risk of immune reactions and the transmission of diseases
Techniques: All common GBR techniques in combination with a barrier membrane
BEGO OSS S
The synthetic alternative
BEGO OSS S is a synthetic resorbable bone substitute material. Thanks to the intelligent combination of two homogeneously distributed phases, rapidly resorbing ß-tricalcium phosphate (40%) and volume stable hydroxyapatite (60%), premature resorption is counteracted.
BEGO OSS S is osteoconductive and has an interconnecting pore system which is based on that of natural bone. The BEGO OSS pore system is a highly complex network of macro-, micro- and nanopores. The macroporous dimensions ensure optimal recruitment of bone cells whilst the micropores and the nanostructured surface generate strong capillary forces for complete penetration of BEGO OSS S with blood and the effective adhesion of proteins.
Indications
All common GBR techniques in combination with a barrier membrane

BEGO Collagen Membrane
The pericardium barrier membrane
The original collagen structure of porcine pericardium is retained in the BEGO Collagen Membrane. The natural cross-connections of the collagen fibres guarantee excellent compatibility and a long-lasting barrier function. The collagen fibres create a 3D network which gives the BEGO Collagen Membrane its multi-directional stability and suppleness. The BEGO Collagen Membrane is cell-occlusive, has a smooth side for adaptation of the soft tissue and a rough side as a guiding structure for blood vessels and bone cells.
The BEGO Collagen Membrane boasts a chameleon effect. When dry the pericardium membrane is stable, when wet its properties change and it becomes flexible and supple. The chameleon effect means that the membrane is ideal, for example, for the “stick & flip” technique for lateral augmentations according to PD Dr. Dr. Daniel Rothamel.
Indications
As a cover and/or in combination with bone substitute material (BEGO OSS, BEGO OSS S)for all indications which permit controlled tissue regeneration.

Handling: Ideal for draping, can be cut to size, does not stick, can be used both wet and dry Quick rehydration
Patient acceptance: Can be resorbed, no second surgical intervention required
Techniques: Used as a cover with all common GBR and GTR techniques, stick & flip technique
BEGO Collagen Fleece
The all-rounder
The BEGO Collagen Fleece is made from the natural collagen of porcine dermis. The 3D structure of the collagen is preserved due to gentle processing and, through the aggregation of thrombocytes, promotes the formation and stabilising of blood clots during the initial wound healing phase. BEGO Collagen Fleece is used, for example, to treat soft tissue extraction points and minor bone defects. In addition to the outstanding adhesive properties, the Fleece retains its shape and structure when wet. When hydrated, the BEGO Collagen Fleece forms a smooth gel which can be easily draped.
